Speaking on the Global Stage in Macau: Sharing How EK Financial Group Uses TikTok, AI & Automation

This August, I had the incredible privilege of travelling to Macau, China to speak at the MDRT Global Conference, one of the largest and most prestigious gatherings for financial advisers worldwide.
In a packed auditorium of over 1,500 attendees, I delivered a one-hour Focus Session on a topic I’m incredibly passionate about — how we’re using TikTok, social media, AI, and automation to transform the way we connect with and onboard new clients at EK Financial Group.
And I’m proud to now share this experience with you — our clients, supporters, and friends of EK Financial — because this journey is about more than just technology. It’s about delivering value, building trust, and making financial advice more accessible than ever before.
💡 My Talk: Using TikTok and AI to Deliver Value and Drive Engagement
During my presentation, I walked through our full marketing and onboarding strategy — from the first TikTok video to a fully booked client meeting — showing advisers from across the globe how we’re leveraging technology to simplify and humanise the advice process.
My core message was this:
“Give value first. Educate people. Make complex financial ideas easy to understand. Be visible, be generous, and the right clients will come.”
Here’s what I covered on stage:
🎥 TikTok & Social Media: I create short, educational videos that break down complex financial concepts into everyday language. These videos are shared freely on TikTok and other platforms — not to sell, but to serve.
🤝 Building Trust Through Content: People engage, ask questions, and eventually reach out — not because of a sales pitch, but because they’ve received value first.
🤖 AI & Automation: From AI-driven meeting summaries to automated onboarding workflows (using tools like Calendly, Monday.com, and Zapier), we’ve built an experience that’s smooth, scalable, and client-friendly.
🧠 Mindset Shift: I encouraged attendees to challenge the old way of doing things. Marketing isn’t about advertising — it’s about education and connection.

🌇 Running in Macau: A City Tour on Foot
As many of you know, one of my personal passions is running in new cities whenever I travel. It’s my way of clearing my head, staying grounded, and seeing places from a different perspective.
In Macau, I went for a long morning run through the city — battling high humidity and heat, but soaking in the views of old colonial streets, vibrant cityscapes, and quiet hidden corners tourists often miss. It was tough, but beautiful — a reminder of why I love what I do, and the adventures it brings.
