Meet Jayden Lourens-Clifford: Starting His Journey in Financial Planning

Currently studying at RMIT and already building strong client relationships, Jayden is on a clear path toward becoming a financial adviser at EK Financial Group.
We are excited to introduce Jayden Lourens-Clifford, who joined the EK Financial Group team in early January in a Client Services role. Jayden is part of a new generation of talent we’re proud to be bringing through the business, and he has been hitting the ground running ever since.
Jayden is currently completing a Bachelor of Business (Financial Planning) at RMIT University, bringing a strong academic foundation to his day-to-day work in client services. From the moment he arrived, he has been actively engaged across the business — getting across the CSO side of things, building a genuine understanding of operations, and developing the client-facing skills that will serve him well throughout his career.
He’s easy to speak to, gets what’s going on, and approaches every interaction with clarity and care — exactly the kind of person you want working with your clients.
Where Jayden really stands out is in how he communicates. He has a natural ability to connect with clients, listen to what they need, and explain things in a way that is clear and reassuring. It is the kind of skill that cannot easily be taught, and it is already making a real difference in the way clients experience working with our team.
Jayden is on a structured three-to-four year pathway toward becoming a qualified financial adviser with EK Financial Group. It’s a journey he’s already well into, and his passion for the industry is clear. Many of our clients will have already spoken with him on the phone, and we have no doubt the impression has been a good one.
Jayden is particularly passionate about improving financial literacy and helping individuals gain real clarity around their financial position and long-term goals — values that sit at the very heart of what we do at EK Financial Group.

Outside of work, Jayden is a devoted St Kilda Football Club and Brooklyn Nets supporter — never a dull season on either front. Music is also a big part of his life; he plays both guitar and piano, which perhaps reflects the kind of patience and dedication he brings to everything he puts his mind to.
