As we close out 2025, it’s time to reflect on another year of growth, achievement, and connection at EK Financial Group. This year has brought exciting milestones for our team, national recognition, and meaningful moments with clients and colleagues alike. Thank you for being part of our journey.
Office Holiday Closure
Please note that our office will be closed for the holiday break from 5:00 PM on Friday, 19th December, and we will reopen on Thursday, 8th January 2026. We hope you enjoy a safe and restful holiday season with your loved ones.
Recognised Again on the National Stage
Aaron Kane named in FS Power 50 for the third consecutive year (2023, 2024, and now 2025), as one of Australia’s Top 50 Most Influential Advisers. A fantastic honour that reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation, leadership, and client-first advice.
A Growing and Evolving Team
New Associates in 2026: In January 2026, we will welcome Jayden and Luca to our team as Associates. Luca has just completed his degree in Financial Planning, while Jayden has one year left of study. Both will support Aaron, Zac and Bas as they continue growing their client base and begin their own long-term journey toward becoming financial advisers at EK over the next 3-4 years.
Ana visits Australia: In December, Ana, one of our longest-serving VAs, visited from the Philippines for the first time. It was a special opportunity to spend time with her in person, share stories, and enjoy some sightseeing together.
Summer returns to Australia: For the second time, our VA and broker admin Summer visited Australia to work alongside Bianca and the team in person, strengthening collaboration and connection.
Continuing Momentum
Our adviser and lending teams continue to go from strength to strength:
Bas becomes a Financial Adviser: A major milestone for EK – in June 2025, Bas officially completed his Professional Year and is now a fully qualified financial adviser. He is already working closely with clients and continuing to grow and develop his skills in the advice space.
Zac has continued building his client base and is thriving in his role as a fully qualified adviser.
Bianca has taken the lead in our lending division as a fully qualified mortgage broker. With strong momentum and support from our back-office team, the lending arm of EK continues to grow and serve more clients.
Personal Highlights
Emily’s New Arrival: Emily welcomed her first child, baby Oscar, earlier this year and returned from maternity leave in the second half of 2025. It’s been a joy to have her back on the team, bringing warmth, energy, and her usual high standards of care to client service.
Rebecca’s Return: Rebecca returned from maternity leave after welcoming her second child, Macey, and will be gradually increasing her hours in early 2026. We’re thrilled to have her back and contributing again to our leadership and operations.
EK Candle Experience: One of the team highlights this year was a special candle-making session where we collaborated to create the signature “EK Scent”. This custom fragrance captures our brand essence and will be shared with clients as a thoughtful gift moving forward.
