Our owner and financial adviser, Aaron Kane, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the 2026 Financial Standard FS Power50, recognising the 50 most influential financial advisers in Australia.

It’s an achievement we’re incredibly proud of, particularly as Aaron has already been named in the final FS Power50 for three consecutive years – 2023, 2024 and 2025.

What is the FS Power50?
The Financial Standard FS Power50 recognises financial advisers who are helping shape the future of financial advice in Australia and promoting the value of professional advice.
Importantly, it’s not simply about being a successful financial adviser. The selection criteria consider advisers who demonstrate leadership through areas such as client advocacy, improving financial literacy, contributing to the advice profession and making a positive impact within their communities.
For Aaron, these are areas he has become increasingly passionate about throughout his career.
More Than Just Financial Advice
Aaron has spent more than 20 years in financial advice and is a second-generation adviser, continuing the business originally established by his father, Edward.
Today, Aaron leads EK Financial Group, where our team helps clients with financial planning, superannuation, retirement strategies, investments, wealth creation, lending and debt strategies.
But Aaron’s contribution to financial advice increasingly extends beyond EK.
He is a 12-year member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), with 10 Court of the Table and eight Top of the Table qualifications, and has become increasingly involved in MDRT leadership internationally.
In 2026, Aaron served as Assistant Chair of Focus Sessions for the MDRT Annual Meeting in Anaheim, helping lead the delivery of more than 24 speaker sessions across the three-day conference.
He has since been appointed Chair of Focus Sessions for the 2027 MDRT Annual Meeting in Orlando, putting him in charge of the entire Focus Sessions program. Last week, Aaron travelled to MDRT Headquarters in Chicago to lead a team of more than 20 MDRT members as planning for the 2027 conference begins.
Aaron also recently represented MDRT at an AGEAS conference in Malta, delivering two presentations to approximately 350 leading financial professionals from across Europe and Asia.
Continuing to Grow EK Financial Group
2026 has also been an important year for EK Financial Group.
In April, we transitioned to becoming a self-licensed financial advice business, moving away from a large corporate licensee.
This was an important step in the evolution of EK Financial Group, giving us greater independence and flexibility in how we operate while allowing us to continue developing the technology, systems and client experience we believe will shape the future of financial advice.
Aaron continues to be passionate about combining great people, personal relationships, technology, AI and automation to deliver better experiences for our clients.
Ultimately, however, everything comes back to one thing: helping our clients make better financial decisions and giving them greater clarity and confidence about their future.
Three Years in a Row… Could We Make It Four?
Aaron was incredibly proud to be named among Australia’s 50 most influential advisers in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Being shortlisted again in 2026 is a fantastic achievement in itself, particularly given the calibre of advisers represented across Australia.
We’d also like to congratulate all of the advisers shortlisted for the 2026 FS Power50. It’s fantastic to see so many passionate professionals being recognised for the work they’re doing for their clients, communities and the broader advice profession.
